Joe is my father's father. He farmed exclusively with horses, which he trained and loved. He came to Potter Co., SD, from Faulk Co., SD, to work for a sister, who with her husband acquired land in northern Potter Co. This land was near that of the Ole Thompson farm, where he eventually worked and met Ole's daughter, Tena, whom he married.
